Hello from my favorite archipelago in the entire world! It took a lot of help from God, friends, and family but we finally made it back home. :) I still can't believe that I'm here!!!! It's so crazy awesome. We arrived here and had to quickly hit the ground running. We had so many briefs, meetings, and the like to go to. Plus, we had to procure a place to live and a car in two weeks or so. We still think it was a small miracle that it actually was accomplished. Anyway, here are some pictures.

This picture was taken from above Tokyo as we were landing. I don't remember taking this at all (as I was medicated, haha).
I don't remember taking this picture either. But apparently, even in a compromised state, I will automatically take pictures of my food. Even if said food is gross airplane food.
When we arrived on Okinawa, I started eating my weight in Okinawa soba and general Okinawan food.
I love the beach. Most Okinawans don't actually go to beaches often, but my family does.
This is the living room of our house-partment. We call it that because we have the entire floor of the second story of either a really small two-story apartment building or a huge house. It has super high ceilings, lots of windows, lots of storage, and beautiful hardwood floors.
The kitchen is pretty open and has a cool bar. This house was made for having people over. And there's my lovely photo-bombing husband. ;p
The kitchen. I love the fact that we have a gas stove. Electric just isn't quite the same. We have random marble and granite all over the house.
The master bedroom. We have two huge closets in here with built in drawers. Genius. Those curtains are vintage-y and cool, but I'm just going to take them down, bag them up, and give them back to the owners of the house. They're super dusty and I'm super allergic. Yes, there's a random balcony back there.
This room is going to be my office. Finally a nice place to put all of my gear and my desk.
This is the backroom. It (and sometimes the "office room") will serve as the guest room. :) And yes, yet another random balcony.
This balcony is my favorite part of the entire house. One wall of our living room is pretty much windows and we have this fabulously huge balcony. The grill will be going on one side and a little vegetable garden will go on the other.
This is a 180-degree view from our balcony.
You can see a little bit of ocean....
And there's mountainside farms all around. If you open the balcony door or windows, you can hear goats or sheep. It's wonderful country-islandly goodness.
Plus, at any given time, we can hop in the car for a few minutes and be at the beach. I'm so thankful that God allowed us back here!
