Hello everyone! I finally slowed myself down enough to be able to post some pictures about what I've been up to. We took Optimus out to the beach for the first time. We drove around for a while until we found a semi-secluded beach on the northern tip of the island.

I think it's safe to say he (the dog) loves the beach. I think they're both making the same face here.
Near Cape Hedo, there's a lookout point that has this amazing view. I totally love the Okinawa blues. :)
On another Saturday, my talented husband grilled beer chicken. It was fabulous and a little dangerous. Has anyone made this without almost giving yourself third degree burns from molten hot beer?
Then I went on an outing with my cool friend, Sophie, to Cape Zampa and finally went inside the lighthouse!
I'm not normally afraid of heights, but there isn't much room up there to back away from the railing. But the view is totally worth it!After the lighthouse trip (and driving around to find vegan cafes), we arrived at this cafe in the Awase area that has vegan options. I had the Thai curry (not vegan) set. It was sooooo good. :)
And here's my husband before his mma match. Other guys listen to angry music while preparing. He just plays angry birds, haha. But he won by TKO (technical knock out)! I'm so proud of my guy.
Then Optimus got a mammoth bone. Ever since we knew were getting him, we've wanted to get him one of these. It seems pretty proportionate to his size.
We took one of Chase's co-workers to a little cake shop that's near our house. They have the fanciest set-up. Pinkies up boys!
This is my mom. She's freaking gorgeous. We ate breakfast together at a super secret French bakery. It's nice being able to just hang out with my mom again.
This past Saturday, was the Calvary Chapel Okinawa Women's 2011 Conference. It was an awesome time!
The speaker from the conference, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, features Eve from the Genesis story so it was pretty clever that someone bit the apple from the centerpiece. :)
Last but not least, my little brother got baptized! It was super cool that we could be there for it. Every time I think of baptisms, I think of this though...
Sorry that was a long post. But I had to post something about us for family back in the states. :)
