Saturday we had no appointments in the afternoon so we decided to embark on a little adventure. Of course we got lost (as per usual for us in Oki) but eventually found the way. It just gave us more time just hanging out in the car.
Eventually we made it to one of our destinations: Hamahiga Island. We love just walking around and exploring the nooks and crannies of this place. Unfortunately it was probably the most hot, humid day EVER, so we couldn't explore as much as we wanted.
We found a little cafe that was pretty much on a cliff. We had some delightful baked cheesecakes and ice coffee while enjoying the excellent view.
Cafe Amuji Garden. The sign on the right says "Yattemasu!" which pretty much means they're open. :)
^One of the views from the garden. Gotta love those Oki ocean blues and teals! I can't get enough of how gorgeous this place is. On one of the rocks was a fisherman. He was pretty dedicated to be out in that heat. Can't wait for our next adventure date. I'm hoping to go up north. :D
