Last Sunday we went to Mobile, AL to go to Winter Jam 2011. We left Pensacola early so we could eat brunch before the concert. I looked at Urbanspoon before we left and apparently Cream & Sugar was the place for brunch. I had a BLT on croissant and he had a frittata. Cream & Sugar was ridiculously cute and their food was good. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon. :)
After Cream & Sugar, we meandered through Mobile. Then an hour early, we went to the concert area. There waiting was this huge crowd (mostly youth groups). One of the guards tried to take my camera away. I had my 70-200mm lens on and he said "No professional equipment allowed." I told him that I would "take my camera to the car." I just took my huge lens to the car and switched to my wide-angle. Not nearly as conspicuous. ;p
We mainly wanted to see Sidewalk Prophets and David Crowder Band. Newsboys (and probably Toby Mac, grr!) were later but we had to leave early because we had at least an hour drive and my man had school the next morning. Boo. But we got a surprise because Red played. They had a really wicked pyrotechnics show.
Later on David Crowder Band played. Best worship band ever. They even busted out the banjo~! If you ever get a chance to hear these guys in concert, jump at it. :D
