Welcome to my newest blog. I'm totally loving this new look! Anyways, the above picture is a collage of Chase's promotion to Sergeant! I'm so proud of him. :) That happened on Friday. I made him his favorite chocolate stout cake, but this time I added a chocolate ganache filling and a homemade butter cream frosting. It was heavenly.
On Saturday we went to Wilmington, NC on another one of our dates. It's really nice to get away from Jacksonville. We went to my favorite store, Fresh Market. They sell gourmet food from around the world. But I think their number one selling point is their ambiance. Seriously every time we go there, we always pause before we walk in, look at each other, nod, then walk in. Then we bask in the lovely smells of various spices and foods. Really, I almost think it's better than a trip to Disney Land. After picking out some a la carte from there, we went on a picnic in our car in Fresh Market's parking lot.
Shortly thereafter, we went to Airlie Gardens. We lived in Wilmington for like, 8 months, but we didn't go to the garden (because we were cheap, haha!). Well, I wish we had sooner. It was a cute little date. Thankfully, it was a little overcast out, so there wasn't a crowd. It felt like we were by ourselves, which is rather nice. So, we walked around the 1 mile-ish trail taking a great deal of pictures, of course.
