Friday and Epic Kutless Concert Saturday (picture heavy)

     I'm in a David Crowder Band kind of mood. You know, jumping up and down, dancing while singing in your house? Well, if you haven't you really should try. It's awesome and oh-so-good for your health. :)

     I made some really delicious semi-healthy biscuits. They're stupid easy to make. The recipe is here. Since I felt lazy, I just dropped them straight into a cupcake pan.

     After that I felt creative and decided to take some ring shots.

     This last one was fun because I had the rings and the gerbera daisy under water in a wine glass. It takes a lot of effort (and free time) to balance a ring on a daisy.

     While I was doing this, Chase was at a country club for a going away for one of the people from his office. I asked him to bring a camera as I was not allowed to go am only good at Wii golf.

     The last one is his favorite shot of the day. If you notice the person pictured above has pretty much finished swinging... and his golf ball is still there.... They made fun of him the rest of the day for his mad golf skills.

Saturday

     We woke up way later than we wanted to. Initially the plan was to go to Mumfest a little early so we could hit up the food stands (gyros for him and caramel apples for me). But, nothing really ever goes according to plan. So we arrived in New Bern, NC a little late for the concert. 

     The first band  was "Above the Golden State." They were good, but we only caught the last bit of their show. Next up was "Sidewalk Prophets."

     Man, their lead singer had the most amazing voice! My favorite song of theirs was "The Words I Would Say." We bought their CD and t-shirts. It's very happy music. :D

      Then Kutless came on stage and got everyone jumping and dancing in the park. It was an awesome concert. I highly recommend seeing all of these guys if the opportunity presents itself in your area. :)

 

     At the concert, there was a kid wearing this shirt. I want this shirt. 

     The day ended beautifully. The sunset was gorgeous! After the concert, we went to the Chelsea and then basked in the awesome that is the Sidewalk Prophet's cd on the way home. I'll leave you with the lyrics of "The Words I Would Say."
